Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project
Denver, Colorado
Sour Brown/Red[/note]
This is my other beer I have from Crooked Stave. It’s a sour aged in Leopold Whiskey barrels. I really liked the other beer I got from them, but this is the one I’ve been looking forward the most, since I’ve been trying more sours.

It’s dark brown and a little murky. I noticed the aroma immediately, very pungent, exactly what I was hoping for! And the flavor does not disappoint. This is a big time sour, definitely not one if you are just looking to dabble with some new beers. That being said, if you really like sours, this one would be right up your alley. The finish is extremely dry with some good flavor from the barrels.
Crooked Stave is a very small brewery in Denver. I was unaware of them the only time I’ve been to Denver, but this is a must stop next time I find myself there.
